Excel Mangare is well known as a drummer playing for a talent competition series called Idola Cilik (2009 - 2010), Indonesian Idol (2012) and X-Factor (2013) that went on air on RCTI, a local TV station.

At the age of 11, he was awarded as the Indonesia's youngest drummer in the Indonesian Book of Record.
